Cosmetic Dentist Near York, SC

Cosmetic dentistry built to last. A husband-and-wife practice worth the drive from York.

A dental office worth the drive from York

York is about 20 to 25 minutes from our office in Rock Hill. That's farther than we are from the other communities we serve, and we know it. York patients who come to Falko Family Dental are choosing us over closer options, usually because someone they trust referred them. We take that seriously. Every cosmetic case we plan for a York patient is a long-term investment — in your teeth, in your confidence, and in the relationship we're building with you and your family. That's the standard we work to.

Meet Dr. Andrew and Dr. Klaudia Falkovsky

Falko Family Dental is a husband-and-wife practice where two doctors with distinct but complementary specialties see patients together every day. Dr. Andrew Falkovsky, DMD, focuses on esthetic and cosmetic dentistry — veneers, smile design, and full cosmetic rehabilitation — and is a member of the American Association of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), the Academy of General Dentistry, the South Carolina Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Klaudia Falkovsky, DMD, focuses on restorative and implant-related work and brings a strong academic and research background to her clinical practice. Before earning her DMD from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, she completed a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where her oral biology research was published in both the Nature Journal and the Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy Journal. She was recognized as an ICOI award recipient during dental school and has built her clinical focus around implant restorations and full-arch smile makeovers ever since. She is a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), the Academy of General Dentistry, the South Carolina Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.

Because both doctors practice in the same office, complex cosmetic cases — particularly smile makeovers that combine veneers, implants, and orthodontic work — benefit from two sets of eyes before any treatment begins. For York patients, that means a treatment plan that accounts for both the esthetic goals and the restorative foundation needed to support them long term. It is an level of in-house collaboration that is uncommon in a practice this size, and it consistently produces better outcomes on cases where sequencing and planning matter most.

Falko Family Dental is also well suited to multi-generational families. Whether you are bringing in a child for their first cleaning, a teenager for Invisalign, or coming in yourself for a crown replacement or smile refresh, the same two doctors are here across all of those visits — building familiarity with your family's dental history over time rather than starting fresh at each appointment.

Cosmetic dentistry with longevity in mind

For York patients, cosmetic work is rarely a one-off decision. The question we hear most often isn't "how fast can this be done" but "how long will it last, and what happens when it doesn't?" That's the right question. The services below are planned with longevity as a primary design parameter.

Porcelain veneers

A well-designed set of porcelain veneers lasts 15 to 20+ years with normal care. The design matters more than the materials — veneers that are planned around your face, your bite, and your natural tooth anatomy age better than veneers that are simply placed to hide what was there before. We preview the proposed design before we prepare any teeth and adjust until you approve it. That review step adds a visit to the process but eliminates most of the reasons veneers come back for redo work.

Whitening that lasts

In-office whitening produces a visible change in one appointment. The bigger question for York patients is maintenance: without take-home trays and a maintenance routine, most results fade over 12 to 24 months. We provide custom trays and a realistic conversation about how often you'll need to touch up based on your coffee, tea, and wine habits. Whitening done well, and maintained, can hold its result for 5+ years.

Crowns, bridges, and implant restorations

Modern all-ceramic crowns replace the older porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns that many York patients still have in their mouths from work done 15 or 20 years ago. The new crowns match better, last at least as long, and don't develop the dark line at the gumline that PFM crowns eventually show. Implant crowns replace missing teeth with something that looks and functions like a natural tooth — and for York patients who have been living with a partial denture or a bridge for a decade, the switch to implants is often the single most important dental improvement they make.

Smile makeovers

A smile makeover combines multiple services — whitening, Invisalign, bonding, veneers, and sometimes implant or crown work — into one planned sequence. York patients who pursue a full smile makeover are usually doing so for a specific reason: a retirement, a milestone anniversary, a professional transition, or a multi-decade build-up of small issues they finally want addressed all at once. Plan on six to twelve months from first consultation to final placement for a comprehensive case.

The consultation process

The first visit is about an hour. You tell us what you'd change about your smile if you could. We take photographs, a 3D scan, and updated x-rays. We walk through your options in plain language, explain which sequence of work makes sense in your case, and give you a written estimate. You leave with a plan on paper and time to think it over. There is no same-day commitment required, and no charge to ask questions. For York patients who drove 25 minutes to be here, we plan the visit with that in mind — we don't rush the consultation to stay on schedule.

What cosmetic work costs

Cosmetic dentistry is priced by case because no two cases start in the same place. What you can count on: a written estimate before any scheduled treatment, direct filing of your dental insurance for restorative components (cosmetic work itself is typically not covered), our in-office Friends & Family Plan for patients without insurance, and CareCredit financing for cases that total over $1,000. York patients often ask about phased treatment — getting the most important work done first and scheduling the rest as the budget allows. That's a common plan and we're comfortable structuring care that way.

About York

York, South Carolina — the White Rose City — is the county seat of York County, a town with a preserved downtown, a slower pace than its neighbors closer to Charlotte, and a community where families often go back two or three generations in the same area. It is not a suburb of Rock Hill or of Charlotte, despite its proximity to both; York has its own character, its own downtown festivals, its own schools, and its own identity. Many of our York patients came to us through referrals from neighbors or family members, and the relationship is usually a long one. That's the kind of dental practice we've built — slow to gain a new patient, and slow to lose one.

Frequently asked questions

Is the drive from York really worth it?

That's your decision, not ours. What we can tell you: most York patients who come to us were referred by a family member or a neighbor who's been with us for years, and most of them stay with us long-term. Drive time matters less when the underlying care is consistent and the work holds up.

How long do porcelain veneers typically last?

Fifteen to twenty years or more with proper care. The biggest factors in veneer longevity are bite, nighttime grinding (a night guard protects veneers dramatically), and the quality of the underlying bond. Most veneers that fail early do so because of bite issues that weren't addressed at the planning stage — which is why our consultation process takes the bite analysis seriously.

My parents were patients of a dentist who retired. Can you take over their care?

Yes. We regularly take on patients whose long-time dentist retired or closed. We'll request records from the previous office, review any ongoing treatment, and pick up where things were. For multi-generational York families, this kind of transition is common and we handle it smoothly.

Will my insurance cover any of the cosmetic work?

Most purely cosmetic procedures (veneers, whitening) are not covered. Restorative work (crowns, fillings, some implant procedures) often is, at least in part. We check your specific plan during the consultation before you commit to anything.

What if I need an emergency visit from York?

Call us at (803) 560-9892 . For urgent issues like a broken front tooth or a lost crown, we'll usually find same-day or next-morning slots even for York patients. The drive is still 20 minutes, but the visit is rapid and the problem gets solved in one trip.

Do you see the whole family or just adult cosmetic patients?

Whole family. Many York families have multiple generations in the practice — parents, children, sometimes grandparents — and we handle that scheduling in a way that minimizes trips back and forth.
