Types of Dental Implant Services We Offer

  • Single tooth dental implant
  • Implant supported bridges (for multiple missing teeth)
  • Implant supported, removable dentures
  • Restore your smile with a screw retained bridge or denture to replace a full set of teeth

Single Tooth Implant

This is an ideal if you are missing a single tooth. A single implant is placed and a crown restoration is then attached on top of the implant to replace the missing tooth. This is a full crown that is attached, not a tooth cap like what is normally used to cover a damaged tooth. A dental implant, if properly maintained, can last a lifetime. It is a much more reliable option than a bridge or flipper.

Implant Supported Bridge

Implant-supported bridges are similar to traditional bridges, but are supported by implants rather than the patient’s adjacent teeth. Implant-supported bridges are used when the patient is missing three or more teeth in a row.

Implant-supported bridges are stronger, more durable, and can withstand greater bite pressure than traditional bridges.

Implant-Supported Dentures

Implant-supported dentures are dentures that are attached securely to dental implants for added comfort and stability. We offer both removable implant-supported dentures that you can easily take out for cleaning, and fixed implant-supported dentures that are even more stable.

Screw Retained Bridge Or Denture

We can place as few as four implants (per arch) in strategic locations and angles. In some cases, we recommend six to eight implants per arch for additional stability.

We can extract irreversibly damaged teeth, surgically place dental implant posts and provide you with functioning and natural-looking teeth in one day. Although remarkably expeditious, the procedure provides an effective, efficient and long-lasting solution for missing teeth.

Benefits and Advantages of Dental Implants

Dental Implants can last a lifetime

Dental implants are made of durable titanium, a non-corrosive, body-friendly, long-lasting metal. Implants are subject to the same periodontic issues as natural teeth, however, and require good oral care (daily brushing and flossing) and regular professional cleanings.

Dental Implants Behave Like Natural Teeth

Once an implant is placed, most patients can’t tell the difference between their natural teeth and the implant tooth. Not only do the implants blend-in with their natural teeth, they can eat with full chewing power, and can brush and floss normally, as well.

Dental Implants Prevent Bone Loss

Bone in the jaw deteriorates where there is no tooth. This is because the bone requires the pressure and stimulation of chewing to maintain its density. Implants act as natural teeth and provide that necessary stimulation.

Dental Implants Keep Adjacent Teeth Stable

The gap caused by a missing tooth can destabilize adjacent teeth, causing them to shift towards the gap. This pulls your teeth out of position and can affect your bite and your ability to chew. Dental implants fill in the gap left by a missing tooth and prevent this from occurring.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How long does the dental implant process take?

A: From the first consultation to your final crown, the full implant process typically takes three to six months. The longest part is the healing period after the implant post is placed in the jawbone — it takes three to four months for the bone to fully fuse with the titanium (a process called osseointegration). Once healing is complete, we attach the abutment and crown, which takes just a couple of appointments. If you need bone grafting before the implant can be placed, the timeline may extend by a few months. We'll provide a specific timeline during your free consultation after reviewing your 3D x-rays.

Q: Does getting a dental implant hurt?

A: Most patients are surprised by how little they feel during the procedure. The area is fully numbed with local anesthesia, and we also offer nitrous oxide and IV sedation for patients who want extra comfort. The surgery itself usually causes less discomfort than a tooth extraction. Afterward, you can expect some soreness and swelling for three to five days — manageable with over-the-counter pain relievers like ibuprofen. The majority of our patients return to normal activity the next day. We'll send you home with clear post-op instructions and our direct number if anything feels off.

Q: How much do dental implants cost in Rock Hill, SC?

A: A single tooth implant at Falko Family Dental — including the implant post, abutment, and crown — typically ranges from $3,500 to $5,500. Costs vary depending on whether you need bone grafting, a sinus lift, or other preparatory work before the implant can be placed. We offer 0% financing options and free implant consultations that include a 3D x-ray (a $350 value) when you move forward with treatment in our office. We can give you an accurate cost estimate only after reviewing your specific anatomy on the 3D scan — call or book online to get started.

Q: Am I a good candidate for dental implants?

A: Good candidates for dental implants have enough healthy jawbone to support the implant post, are in generally good health, and don't smoke heavily (smoking significantly slows healing and increases implant failure rates). Most healthy adults are candidates, including many who've been told elsewhere that they 'don't have enough bone' — bone grafting can often solve that problem. Conditions like diabetes or gum disease don't automatically disqualify you — they just need to be managed before treatment. The only way to know for certain is a 3D scan and consultation, which we offer for free. We place and restore implants entirely in-house, so there's no need for referrals.

Q: How long do dental implants last?

A: A well-placed dental implant, properly cared for, can last a lifetime. The titanium post that integrates with your jawbone is extremely durable and not susceptible to decay. The crown on top — just like a natural tooth's enamel — can wear over time and may need to be replaced after 15 to 25 years. The biggest risks to implant longevity are smoking, gum disease, and skipping regular dental cleanings. Treat your implant like a real tooth: brush twice a day, floss daily, and come in for your regular checkups.
